Listen to #LauraWelsh ‘s new powerful song #BreakThe Fall

We had a huge crush on Laura Welsh when she posted “Cold Front” on soundcloud in summer 2013.Eversince, we have been following the most “woah-oh-oh”-ing apt songstress to ever exist ardently. Her music was heard in episodes of tv hits Masters Of Sex, Grey’s Anatomy, ( Cold Front) and Mistresses. She has announced that the debut album “Self Control” is due out end 2014 on Island Records.Confirming the Guardian’s assertion that “she has got ‘big in 2014’ written all over her,” “Break The Fall”, a new confessional song and accompaigning black and white video was released last week , showing her great potential in becoming a maverick pop force. “My temper is always on the loose, I want to love you, but I’m just too cynical”, she sings. The quiet and vulnerable quality of her music is gone here. Her poignant voice is front-and-center and is as powerful and prominent as we’ve ever seen her, in a song that is a few bassline chords away from being a James Bond theme. Adele who?

She has previously collaborated with Rhye’s Robin Hannibal (on “Cold Front”), Dev Hynes from Blood Orange, and John Legend amongst others. Recently Laura co-wrote and loaned her killer vocals to UK dance/ electronic production duo Gorgon City in the sun-kissed dance serenade “Here For You”.Watch the video of “Break the Fall” and listen to *Here For You” below.
